ARROW OF TIME - 20210528
(Oil on board, 24 x 12 inches, 2021)
What is Time?
Unlike the three dimensions of space, time seems to be asymmetric, flowing only in one direction, from past to future through the fleeting moment we call present.
The relative speed through which time advances is variable, depending on the frame of reference.
Regardless of referential, however, as time plows into the future, it leaves behind an ever expanding and receding past.
As space in our universe expands, three dimensional clumps of condensed matter form. Is it possible then that, as time advances, it too leaves behind clumps of condensates, lands of frozen time we could somehow one day revisit or retrieve? Can the Arrow of Time fly through its own wake?
Am hoping to find out with my spacetime machine.
